MEDICINE, A MOST CONTROVERSIAL SUBJECT
MEDICINE
MEDICINE is one of the most controversial subjects in today's world, mainly because you don't know who to believe.
Because it's so personal, everyone has different ideas about it.

There is so much written about it, especially with the advent of the internet, it is becoming more and more difficult to draw any conclusions.
With all the conspiracy theories, there is always the question whether a medicine is given for your own benefit or everyone else's.

I still like to believe that one's GP (General Practitioner) is the best person to ask, but their judgement is being undermined by the constant advance of technology and the relentless pressure from the medicine manufacturers
Having been in the employ of two medicine manufacturers, Pfizer and Syntex, I am aware that their attitude towards their products is quite different from the user's.
There is always the question of what else the medicine does to the body and mind in addition to what it is meant to do.
While there are lots of rules and restrictions imposed by the authorities, the question is far to complex for a medicine to be 100% guaranteed for everyone.

How many times has your GP told you to take the medicine for a week and if it hasn't worked by then, come back and try something else.

As a result, I am a fervent fan of DOC MARTIN for my medical advice. I think the series is especially good for dyslexic people.
